I’ll stop doing these when series I like stop fucking up White Tie tuxedos.
fullsize

He’s a 17-year-old orphan with nightmares who has to fare for himself. How is he supposed to know all that? It’s not as if anyone’s ever been there to teach him.
If it was a magic tuxedo (kind of like the senshi’s fukus), you’d have a point, but in this case, I think it’s just realistic. He’s trying his best but he doesn’t have a clue.
Considering his legendary fashion sense (maboroshi no fashion sense?) Mamoru wearing a tuxedo wrong is totally in-character.

Actually, he was mostly correct in both the anime and the manga. (peaked lapels, vest a decent length, gentle curve of the open breast, trim waist, well fitted in some, not always perfect, but usually he looked pretty good)
In fact, in the manga, he was a school boy who owned -multiple- tuxedos.

Your post is a valiant effort in defense of Mamoru Chiba, but it misses the point. I didn’t make that comparison sheet because I hate Mamoru and wanted to make him look bad. I made it because I love him, he was one of my favorite characters, he always looked like a badass, because his moniker literally starts with the word ‘Tuxedo’, so, no pun intended, but I don’t think I’m asking for the moon when I expect the animators of SMC to put even a modicum of research into what an appropriate tuxedo looks like (that doesn’t just consist of punching the word ‘tuxedo’ into google images.) Naoko Takeuchi and the original animation team managed to do it just fine.
The other thing that bugs me. People always talk about ‘Mamoru fashion’. The dude had an awesome fashion sense. Let’s face it, a lot of 90s fashions didn’t hold up well to time, but at the very least Takeuchi gave him what would have been pretty hip clothes at the time.

[tw: Discussions of rape below]

I wish people wouldn’t label violence ‘non-con’. I realize that bullying and violence are not agreed to, but I also think ‘non-con’ means something completely different and very specific.

I think it’s problematic to soften the word ‘rape’ by calling it ‘non-con’. I think it has a fetishizing/sterilizing quality to call rape something by a rhymey and obfuscated term. So, I have to ask you guys.

Please do not tag any of my drawings with ‘rape’ or ‘non-con’.

I do not draw rape. I do not write stories about rape. And I will not. I don’t want someone to see that tag added to my personal work and misunderstand what I’ve drawn. I don’t mind other people tagging my art with their personal interpretations about it, except in this one specific case. I ask people to please respect this one request about my art.

Thank you.

If you know me in real life, pretend you didn’t see this.

Otherwise, here are some draws of Bucky staring at things ^ ^

I quite literally made a strangled choking noise when I saw this. I can’t describe how phenomenal your art it!

I went to a con recently and tried sketching Steve x Winter Soldier when I got a chance at the table- I thought I’d scan them in! There isn’t really a solid narrative here, just some ideas inspired by Ono and Roo!

OH MY GOD

HAMLET;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;

The temperature in my room feels like it suddenly increased 5 degrees! Holy shit, you always concoct the sexiest scenarios.

I love Bucky’s sexy-scary desperation I have no idea what to say! hahah all these intense erotic lines and steamy sex-scenes and then like…. precious bucky in his little snap back :”D Hanging out!

Somewhere in Brooklyn Bucky Barnes is outraged for no reason.
