When I was in 9th grade I had these OCs named Salt and Vinegar because I don’t think you understand how much I love that chip flavor. errm But I mentioned them on twitter and Hamlet asked to see them, so I tried redrawing them.
I was so fucking pleased with myself about incorporating the crystalline form of salt into his designs, but I think that pseudo-intelligentsia was probably undercut by the fact I would consistently misspell Vinegar’s name.
Vinegar is like 7 feet tall, and Salt would wear a bunch of crop top hoodies and bicycle shorts for his human clothes. OTL They’re pretty much both just glam 80s angel wizards. Basically, I’m a lost cause. I think seeing my early characters makes it pretty clear to everyone that Sailor Moon villains were (and are) the bedrock of my sexuality.

Good question, Hamlet. I don’t know how he managed to get someone to file his recruiting papers, seeing as how they would have to be rushed to the hospital with a severe case of melted-loins syndrome and wouldn’t be able to get all the formal paper work done on time.
It’s a dangerous and risky job trying to hire all these saucy knaves at fighter posts.

There used to be this house, not far from where I lived, that was like, THE WITCH HOUSE. But really, it was just this kind of eccentric elderly lady that lived there. She would paint her house colors like black or purple or metallic silver. Anyway, she just kept obsessively re-painting her house and it would weird everyone out each time she did.
What I mean to say is that tumblr is one more trivial UI change away from being the neighborhood witch house.
Okay, reading your post I noticed that the tags get cut off, I’m not able to click and drag to view them all. (perhaps this is a bug and being fixed?) I also noticed that I do not even have the option to preserve your original tags.
I’m tired of these useless visual changes that have, if any, only operational inconveniences and never conveniences.
What about combining the best features of fanmail and the best features of asks? You don’t need two clunky message systems. Fanmail has a seemingly deliberately hideous design, but pretty decent features, yet you can’t disable receiving them. Ask is slick, is capable of being disabled and fits the site well, but it has a limited word count and you can’t send links. What’s the point of two stunted features versus one strong one?
Or as Hamlet suggested to me on skype, what about finding a way to protect the original post from tampering? To preserve sources, OP’s user name, artist comment, and images. We know that’s been a huge problem.
But Tumblr, if you HAVE to make only superficial changes, What about adding “This post was liked from [username]” as you do with reblogs? It’s hard to tell if someone is liking my original post or a comment from a reblog. That’s a superficial change you couldn’t fuck up too badly.
