So… I have just spent much of my day scrolling through your blog, because you are so amaze! I have a few questions. Do you have a comic like HamletM? And is that what Something To Talk About is? If it is a comic could I please have the link for it? Thank you for your time! Annie. xxxo
ahh I’m sorry I’m such a slacker, everyone! Y___Y You’re quite right, Something To Talk About is (in theory) my comic. I got started on in junior year in high school, restarting it late in my senior year, and then putting it off after I went to college. It’s a bit pathetic; My comic work ethic seemed to have evaporated, so I haven’t worked on in in maybe 2 years or so (only 8 pages of the second version) and the first version, which got only up to 38 pages (all 3 or 4 years old) was taken offline.

I’m even having second thoughts on the second version though, (the dialogue and intro is REALLY bumpy and rushed. What is pacing??) and working through some things with the style. For instance, I had planned to do it in black and white inks, but now I see that even the most basic webcomics have at least a bit of color.;;;

I’m trying to figure out what style I should aim for that will have that extra level of work, but that will still remane true to the time period/mood like the blacks do. For instance, I think simply adding digital or watercolor fills might look too modern or flashy and I would have to rethink my inking style in order to make it balance well. I don’t want it to look like a coloring book that I painted over, which happens sometimes with American comics that have such strong black inks. My sister gave me some good advice on picking a new coloring style for it, and I think when I get back to school with access to my paints, I would like to experiment with this.

Who knows, perhaps there is even a 3rd version in my future <x’D hahah how pathetic! But I don’t want to give you guys subpar things, and right now everything I’ve done for it is pretty forgettable;;;

Just for reference, since people have seemed curious about it, here are the 8 remake pages done about 2 years ago. Please forgive my many mistakes in both storytelling and comic craft;; I hope that you guys can look forwards to something superior. OTL
