This is one of those moments when I wish I could take past me and vigorously shake myself: “DON’T BE SO RUDE, ONOROBO…
NOOOO! oh gosh! You’re not being rude at all!I I just didn’t want you to think I hadn’t given it a chance;;;; It would be pretty uncool to judge something harshly before reading it. Y__Y
Anyhow, regardless of my opinion, I think it’s up to the individual to decide what’s best for them and what comics to read. After all, there’s no arguing matters of taste. If you like HS and find a good community in the fans, then that’s great and I do hope you get the most out of the story. If you perhaps do not like HS, I don’t mind bonding over that with beers and tears and story time. hahaha But I sincerely hope I haven’t upset anyone, or made someone feel bad, that certainly wasn’t my intention. If so, I apologize.
Please, take my opinion worth a grain of salt. It’s just mine after all.
@trinketchick: OOO oh sweetie! ; A ; thank you so much! ahhh My feels are freakin’ EVERYWHERE right now. You guys are the best.
@acaptain: Ahhh heheh no worries! <:”D Yessss hahahah yesss Thank you so much for your kind message! I feel so honored that you would want to get to know me more! T__T
@anon1: Honestly most of my friends outside of school don’t draw or do art. Oh gosh! That would be such a weird requirement for a friendship!;;; hahahah I guess online I end up following a blog and a blog ends up following me and then we just get to chatting, and we get closer from there? Since I follow a lot of art and model/photo blogs it just so happens that a lot of my mutual tumblr/deviantart pals are interested in art too (or models/fashion/etc.)
@hallward: Hello hallward! It’s good to meet you. <3 Thank you so much for you watch and thoughtful message! hehehe
@danceburrito: Awwwwww you are too generous! Oh gosh thank you so much! I would be sulking alone on livejournal or something if it weren’t for my stupendous, generous watchers! *plants smooches on all*
@virgin-valentine: hehehe Thank you sweetie! My art would swoon deeply and try to cover its blushing face with its hands. “Uguuuu~”
@therailz: Yes! :”D I did! Thank you so much! It’s a picture of my friend Lochi’s character, Hunt! :” D She makes such excellent designs.
@curiousplum: Awww I am certain you aren’t boring! ; o ; and thanks for the input on the disney thing. I think there are a lot of male disney characters that that the center stage or are given alone time (keep in mind, Jasmin wasn’t the main character and yet they had enough free time to have her primping herself unnecessarily). And while the men do /contemplate/ in front of reflections (simba and beast), the few instances in which they’re grooming is played up for laughs or to make them look like jerks (gaston and aladdin when he was being big-headed), rather than this sweet, flirty past-time thing that the women spend their time doing.
@pandalolli: AWW oh pandaloli! You are such a sweetie! <3 You always leave the nicest comments, feedback, and support! ; o ;
@paperfrenzy: hehehe I hope so! > ⩊ <

AWWWWW OMG! I LOVE FRIENDS! > w < so so much! Let me chat with you, that is a great way! <3 I uhhh go look at every blog I follow and that follows me and I notice replies to posts really easily @ w @;;; hahaha I guess I am sort of oblivious, but chances are, if you follow me or have posted a comment on tumblr I have browsed your blog <333
If I had my way I would get to know every one of my followers! You guys are so wonderful and important to me <33333
Poise.

Gra— AW- AWW! OH SHIT bucket.

@anon1: Ahhhn I am having a lovely day now that you have been so sweet to me~ # ‿ # *bats eyelashes* Thank you hon!
@anon2: I would really like. Someday. ;__; school is a little busy, I’ve been neglecting any kind of personal art, unfortunately. So extra stuff from my comics is probably on hold for a while. OTL
@bendoverboy: :”D How exciting! I really love when people point out “casting” to me for OCs! Thank you so much for thinking of him, honey!
@happysweetsu: Oooo ohh gosh! My anatomy has a long way to go!;;; I think what’s helped me the most is 1. figure drawing classes or using live models. If you can find a local class or co-op I say go for it! 2. taking a lot of references pictures of yourself and loosely referencing. Other resources are www.posemaniacs.com, www.3d.sk (some of these are free, and some you have to pay for) and www.artyposes.com
@rena97: Thank you so much darling! : D This makes my day! <3
@ghostbones: Kyyaaaa I’m really looking forward to it! >8’D *gets nervous and sweaty* hahahah I only hope that I can make even half as good a hostess as hamlet was for me;;;; *wrings hands* WHAT WILL I WEAR!? *gross sobbing and panic*
@anon3: Look it’s us!

@sarabainbridge: AWWW thank you so much! <8’D hahah that’s very sweet of you to say! *gently dabs brain juices*
AWWW ohhh gosh! Thank you so very much! That makes me so incredibly happy/flattered! Also, that’s a really good question! So good, I have to answer this separately and blather for a bit! hahahah
I don’t know about characters’ personalities based off of people, but I have definitely been inspired by events from my friends’ and family members’ lives. For instance, I don’t think it was intentional, but I realized a lot of the things that Gabe does have borrowed from events that happened to my dad. *__* He’s one of the most interesting people I know, and a phenomenal story-teller. When I was younger, I honestly thought he was making up tales just to entertain me.
When he was younger he worked in his dad’s hospital as a messenger boy and would deliver severed limbs/organs all wrapped up in butcher paper from surgery to the pathology lab. He would weigh them in his hand and could tell things like “hmmm this is a severed breast” or a leg or something. And when he was 16 he ran away to Germany with one of his female teachers and an Italian man with some mysterious stab wounds. When he was in his early 20’s he just up and left for the Virgin Islands and started working for this rich woman at her fancy hotel bar. She owned a tiger that nipped a chunk out of one of his friend’s behinds. He and two friends built a 3-hull catamaran and his friend took it sailing around the world, but my dad never heard from him again. Part of that was probably due to the lack of communication in the 70s and it must’ve been hard to keep in touch with someone who’s traveling around the world in a ship that’s notoriously hard to steer.
Fantastic stuff like that has left a huge impression on me and definitely fueled my interest in things like adventure and story-telling and the majesty and importance of human connection.
Other sad stuff, too, has been taken from real life. Like shitty stuff that has happened to Gabe and Davey in their childhoods and family life. I’m not really sure how to handle hard, emotional tribulations since I am a wooden, emotionally inept toddler and a way for me to cope, understand, or empathize with things is by drawing it, or perhaps trying to handle it in one of my comics.;;;; I sincerely hope that these things won’t be offensive, and I mean no harm to anyone by trying to draw or write similar situations.
bleehhh sorry Dr. Phil! I am rambling! Thank you for listening to me prattle!
sneakcarnival replied to your post: its sideways because the person wants to steal it, it’s that simple and it’s a shame.
like what does it take to source stuff right?
hahaha apparently all that ugly text and right-side-up art ruins your cool hip blog vibe going on.
Who has time to source when they are busy idk… polishing their collection of lensless glasses frames???
