Ahh I’m sorry for the long answer! And for not publishing this privately, I feel like a lot of people struggle with this issue, so I thought might be good for others to read it as well. If you would rather I delete this post, please let me know, I’ll take it down immediately.
First of all I’m so sorry! Please don’t feel that way!!;; The last thing I would ever want to do is discourage other artists! > < Makes me feel bad! I know it’s really easy to be down on yourself about your own art (I am usually battling feelings of inferiority myself;;;;) It sucks to deal with but.. it’s important to feel the drive to improve, self-criticism can be a large component of that. Please just keep in mind that everyone has a unique style and your art is wholly your own. Think of what you enjoy most about your personal work and use that as a cornerstone to rally support for yourself around. Like “I know X artist is really good at X,Y,Z, but I’m really good at A, B, C.”. Confidence is also a healthy and important part of growth. ; 3 ; b As hard as it is to remember, try not to compare yourself too much to others; sure their art might be great, but art is never a race, and there is no winner or loser! : ) Instead try to think how other people’s art can inform yours. You also have your own strengths that other people will be secretly jealous of. It’s sort of like apples and oranges, so comparing yourself other people’s standards can be stifling.
And your brain doesn’t lie at all! *__* Everyone starts out drawing stick figues and gradually improves from there. The more you encourage yourself to draw, the faster you’ll improve. Please do practice because it’s the only way to get better, it’s like growing a bonsai tree; every single one is unique and beautiful in it’s own way, it just takes a lot of tender love and attention to cultivate, but you can do it! :”D That’s the best thing about art is that every single person has something valuable to offer others. <3 Please don’t be too hard on yourself, love.

I err argued with myself for about a year or so on whether or not I should watch it, since a friend of mine absolutely hates the series;;; It didn’t really matter to me, so I put it aside for their sake.
But… I don’t think they feel the same way about series that I hate lol. I figure my abstaining from it in their interest has probably been misdirected.

Please no spoilers though, I haven’t seen the latest episode. ufufu ` ⩊ ´ As for my favorite character, that would be ~Amon~. I actually find his movement quite sympathetic and the animation is basically amazing. *lol my avatar experience in a nutshell*

@anon1: Honestly most of my friends outside of school don’t draw or do art. Oh gosh! That would be such a weird requirement for a friendship!;;; hahahah I guess online I end up following a blog and a blog ends up following me and then we just get to chatting, and we get closer from there? Since I follow a lot of art and model/photo blogs it just so happens that a lot of my mutual tumblr/deviantart pals are interested in art too (or models/fashion/etc.)

@curiousplum: Awww I am certain you aren’t boring! ; o ; and thanks for the input on the disney thing. I think there are a lot of male disney characters that that the center stage or are given alone time (keep in mind, Jasmin wasn’t the main character and yet they had enough free time to have her primping herself unnecessarily). And while the men do /contemplate/ in front of reflections (simba and beast), the few instances in which they’re grooming is played up for laughs or to make them look like jerks (gaston and aladdin when he was being big-headed), rather than this sweet, flirty past-time thing that the women spend their time doing.
